Cuba Libre. The last hurrah.
It began the only way a final shout should have... with the owner recognising us from across the road and coming over to shuffle us in the VIP entrance no problems. Class. From there, it was a little downhill. haha... te estoy jodiendo... We had drunk a bunch of beers at the hostel before so we were in high spirits, and the drinks kept flowing. But, as Argentinians do, it was always 1 drink passed around to the group. So strange the way they do that. But it`s cool.
I wore my special (and only) going-out dress, a newbie for these parts that I have so far restrained myself from using for this sole reason. Makeup was piled on, hair strung up high and high heels applied to feet. I was ready. Hot mama coming, you`d better fucking make way ;)
It was the first time I had been to CL on a Saturday, and as I expected, all 6 rooms were open and they ended up being packed. Much dancing was done, massive shape were thrown, the camera was out all night (not mine of course, STILL am without - TOMORROW TOMORROW TOMORROW) and I was in fine form.
At one point I found myself dancing with a tall, hot black Brazilian guy but fobbed him off for mi amigos. Tonight is about having fun with my friends, I told myself. But he kept finding me and taking me from the group...ahh life. I tore myself away though, and kept dancing with the others from work. But I kept to my promise - I did dance with my workmates but then I just kissed them haha
Oops.
Mostly out of sight of the others, I was Sir Sneak-a-lot and when I had the chance, I chose my prey and dived in. Haha... putita (little whore, my new nickname here). One guy I am so so about, he is cute but a little odd... going to Buenos Aires too, so I have another amigo. Annoyingly, though, yet another friend but still no couch. I am going to ring the damn hostels myself if the boss doesn`t by Tuesday. Useless.
We got home after 6 and by then I was getting unexpectedly touchy-feely with one of my workmates who I had considered hooking up with before but never done anything about... anyway I kept that hush hush too but decided to go for it, since he had an hour before starting the morning shift at work. What a shit that would`ve been. But then I remembered, as of that day, he now has a roommate and that would not have been cool. However, as a guy, he said he could just wake him up and make him leaev - no way!! Super slack. And the poor guy continues to not get any from ze ladies so it would be a major kick in the teeth for him. Also, I could take or leave it, to be honest.
Sleep time.

Celebrating new jobs
Woke up with hair smelling of wet dog - and still wet - and sorted my shit out by checkout time, somehow. Actually didn´t feel that bad. Surprisingly. I waited around the reception for the manager to ask about work, as I had mentioned it to a girl behind the desk and she said it was possible. There was no rush as the girls wanted to get a late bus to Buenos Aires, so I had time to figure out if I was staying of going with them.
Eventually, the manager came and the conversation went as followed: "Hi, I hear you want a job." "Yes." "OK." And there it was. I was a working girl once again. No questions about my experience, languages, etc etc... I have to work 6 days a week, 8 hours a day (but it is SO chilled out), will work the bar and get paid a little as well as put up with the staff and fed while I work... oh, and get staff discounts for everything here. Like half price. Sorted.
This now means I get a month or so - whatever I want - to chill out at this amazing hostel that has so many cool people working there and coming through the doors. I will make so many new friends, hear from good travel stories, get some good advice, maybe meet someone to travel onto the next place with... and neutralise my budget!! After a month here, I will be in a much better position to continue traveling. I plan on getting to Patagonia at some stage and I hear that can be expensive so this is definitely a good thing.
To celebrate (or maybe just because), I got drunk again that night. After I saw off the girls and their new English friend from the previous night on the bus to Buenos Aires, I spotted a kinda black guy and started talking with him. Well, turns out he is Aussie which is a bummer but he was cool anyway. He wasn`t even staying at the hostel, just heard it was the place to be! His mates came along a bit later and we all drank and ate together.
I was thinking the whole time, hmmm he`s cute and fun to be around, but he`s Aussie so no chance there... But, as it turns out, there was indeed interest and we eventually hooked up. Nice one. But it was a chilled affair, nothing too passionate or over-the-top, kinda nice. I got his details when he left but who knows if I will ever speak to him again...
Got walked to the door by the must-be-gay-but-feel-he-is-making-a-pass guy who works in the kitchen, and heard a faint knock 5 minutes later when I was about to get into bed. "You sure you don`t wanna come out with us?" (in super fast gay Spanish)... no, my dear, I start work at 10 and I am drunk enuf!
